#BrugesTrainChallenge

We’re excited to invite you to join the #BrugesTrainChallenge – a fun and sustainable way to kick off the GDS-Forum/CityDNA Autumn Conference in Bruges from 15 – 18 October! This social media contest is all about celebrating the journey as much as the destination.

Here’s How it Works:

The Challenge:

Share your train journey to the conference on social media using the hashtag #BrugesTrainChallenge. Whether it’s a photo of your ticket, a selfie in the carriage with colleagues, or a creative video highlighting the benefits of sustainable travel, each post will earn you points – and a chance to win an exciting prize!

How to Participate:

  1. Document Your Journey: Post photos, videos, songs, poems, or stories that capture the spirit of your train travel. Make sure to include the hashtags #BrugesTrainChallenge, #CityDNAAutumnConference, #GDSForum #2024GDSForum #sustainability #regenerativedestinations and name tags: @Global Destination Sustainable Movement, @City Destination Alliance, @Visit Bruges
  2. Earn Points: You can earn points for sharing your train journey, with extra points for creativity. The more engaging your post, the better your chances of winning!

Prizes:

Winners will be announced at the end of the day, Thursday, 17 October. Prizes include vouchers to be spent anywhere in Bruges, courtesy of Visit Bruges.

Key Dates:

  • Challenge opens on Friday, 11 October
  • Challenge closes on Wednesday, 16 October at midnight
  • Winners are announced on Thursday, 17 October at 17:30 local time

Why Participate?

Not only will you stand the chance to win a great prize, but you’ll also be contributing to a more sustainable conference experience. Your participation helps reduce its carbon footprint, sets a positive example and demonstrates the benefits of sustainable travel.

Remember:

Even if you’re not staying through the weekend, the vouchers give you a perfect excuse to return and explore more of Bruges another time.

We can’t wait to see your posts! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to anja@gds.earth
